What is 5G UC?
5G UC full form is 5G Ultra Capacity. It is a higher speed offering band of 5G designed to supply large amounts of data and serve a large number of simultaneous devices. Also, 5G UW service is specially deployed in big stadiums, city centers, Railways etc.
Difference Between 5G UC and 5G UW
Although 5G UC and 5G UW both are the part of 5G technologies, there are some differences between 5G UC and 5G UW;
- SPEED & CAPACITY: 5G UC Band only focuses on fast data transfer, large data transfer and multiple data simultaneously. But 5G UW deliver ultra fast speed with low latency, capable of providing uninterrupted standby data.
- COVERAGE: 5G UC offers wider coverage service than 5G UW. The use of 5G UC allows for better signal multiplication and suitable for rural areas and locations where wider coverage required. On the other hand 5G UW has limited coverage due to using higher frequency bands.
- USE CASES: 5G UC is needed for high bandwidth and fast data using tasks or applications such as virtual reality, augmented reality and IoT deployments. On the other hand 5G UW is ideal for tasks and applications in which needs very fast speed with require real time response on live streaming, private cars, remote surgery, video conferencing, and live game playing.
Summary
5G UC and 5G UW are two different services of 5G network technology. 5G UC focuses on faster and longer coverage network till now but 5G UW focuses on continuous service with magical speed.
