When you click on share indefinitely then your location will keep on getting shared with the same contact until you turn off sharing. And when you click on share until end of day then your location will be shared till the end of that day and when you click on share for one hour then your location will be shared for just one hour. So now you can select the duration as per whom you will share your location.
There are many other ways to share location on iPhone like using find my app, maps app, Google maps app, etc. But in the method that I have mentioned here, you will be able to share your location very easily within a few seconds.
